Christian Education

The primary goal of Christian education is to inspire a biblical worldview in each individual. Not only so that they can defend and support their faith, but also so they can recognize falsehood in the world around them.

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2

Christian education will purposefully prepare believers to be set apart from the world and not like it so they may be salt and light in the darkness of the "real" world.

To help build up believers and those seeking the truth, First Baptist Church offers several opportunities during the week for group Bible studies.

Our Sunday Morning Bible Study at 9:45 has classes for all ages. These range from nursery to senior adult members. There is a place for you.

The Word of God is our textbook for each class, and we use a curriculum provided by our convention as a study guide in pre-school to grade 6. Our youth and adult classes use Bible-based studies or Lifeway quarterly studies.

We offer Family Night discipleship classes on Thursday evenings, starting at 6:30, and they are usually divided into men’s and ladies' classes, plus a children's program of activities and study.

There is also a Ladies Bible study on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m., especially for those uncomfortable driving after dark.

Again, there is a place for you.
