     Pastor Mark has served as Pastor here since September1, 2005.  No stranger to Arizona, he served 14 years in NW Arizona.  Born and raised in Dodge City, Kansas, he attended Mary Hardin-Baylor College in Belton, Texas, where he met Terry, his wife of 31 years.  He earned a Bachelor of Music degree there, Master of Divintiy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Doctor of Ministry degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.  Having served as a Minister of Music & (youth, education, associate pastor, etc) for eight years, his first pastorate was in Mulhall, Oklahoma (5 1/2 years,) Golden Valley, AZ for 14 years, 2 years in Cedar Rapids, Ia, and wala!  Show Low, Arizona for 5 years and counting.

     Mark & Terry have 2 daughters, Becky (24) and Missy (22) and are first time empty nesters!  They also have a son-in-law, Andy, Missy's husband,  a first grandbaby, Selah, and a grand houndog.  Terry has worked as a teacher and as a therapist (mental heath counselor.)  Of course, there are the two bassett hounds, Thaddeus & Lucy!  Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, cooking, music of many kinds, teaching, and hanging out with Terry. Terry has a million interests, not the least of which is science fiction, camping, hikings etc., etc., etc. . .   She is a writer and has been published!!!  An awesome lady!

     Mark's ministry is focused on the Word of God:  it's preaching and teaching, obeying it, and structuring life and church by what it teaches.  He is not fond of all the human wisdom and ideas that have diluted the church and made the church the mission, rather than the Gospel of the Lord Jesus.  He advocates a return to the Bible in all of life.  He is a regular guy that God has called to shepherd one of His local congregations.  Not much for show or pretense, Mark has been described as down to earth, engaging, and easy to talk to.

Brother Jim Brown is assisting Pastor Mark part-time with Outreach and Ministry Program Administration.

Jim and his wife Sharon and grandson Josh are very active in church ministries.

Aloha is a dedicated member of the church staff, working behind the scenes to keep our church buildings clean and welcoming.
